 Standard Jig Boring Service has the capability to manufacture production parts and tooling components with tight tolerances by utilizing wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). Our wire EDM machine uses controlled repetitive spark discharges to machine the work piece. Extremely complex 3-D contours can be cut to close tolerances, regardless of the hardness or toughness of the material, while maintaining accuracy.
Because there is no tool wear during the machining process, part to part consistency is guaranteed. Our experience, in collaboration with the flexibility that wire EDM technology provides, allows us to produce parts without the restrictions of other metalworking processes. When milling components with complex contours, which have difficult work holding requirements, wire EDM offers a cost effective alternative. Your parts will be made to the highest accuracy under computer numerical control in only a fraction of the machining time normally required. Most components come off the wire EDM machine as accurate, finished parts, burr-free and with excellent surface finishes.
